Deep Cove Quarry Rock Hike

On Tuesday we decided to take it a bit easier and head to Deep Cover for some kayaking and what I thought would be a much easier hike at Quarry Rock. Judging by the types of folks we were seeing on the trail, I was sure it would be easy: the selfie-obsessed, Instagram-loving youth who couldn't wait to pose at cliff's edge weren't the same type who seemed to be attracted to Grouse Grind. But the steps gave a bit of a foreboding sense a day after the Grouse Grind hike. Alas, we reached the lookout point and it hadn't proven too difficult.

After our hike we rented kayaks and hit the calm waters for a 2-hour kayaking adventure up Indian Arm.
